Site revived?

The site is back?! Well, sort of...

Not many people noticed but during the last few years of activity our website expired, unfortunately, but we decided recently to try to revive the site so people could look back and see some of the old archives and everything!

As you might notice, I appear to be missing some things still - in particular, I'm missing all data from the Summer 2013 season! If you have any data from that season feel free to send them to me, but just know that it really did exist. Sorry!

For anyone who hasn't heard, the end of OQL seasons and the end of the website did NOT mean the end of our community - pockets of us have been here and there on various messengers. We've even had two meetups in Boston last year and San Francisco this year!

If you're an OQLer and have no idea what I'm talking about, please contact Rishi to get added to the master e-mail list!!

Week Two

The Brownies bounced back from a defeat last week to beat the Brulees (who were playing in their first game) 500-194 with a dominant chasing performance especially from game MVP William.

Shoutout to Eno for a solid chaser appearance and to Kelsey for getting her first ever OQL points!

Stay tuned for two more games next weekend featuring all three teams.

Jonathan will be hosting a brpx tutorial this Tuesday 11/6 at 8:30pm EST. Be around if you want to know how to properly use brpx ignores, and any other functions of the brpx. Also, if you still have brpx issues, this is the place to be.

Season Start + New Server

Congratulations to the Frozen Chogurts for beating the Lavender Brownies 502-448 in the first game of the season!

It was a really exciting game as the Chogurts pulled out ahead by almost 150 but the Brownies crawled back to within 30 points near the end with solid beating and improved chasing. The comeback was too little too late as the MVP of today's match (Jamie) continued to score goals and Aly got a timely snitch.

Stay tuned for another game next Saturday between the Brownies and Brulees!

Also, since mnc has been having issues and since mnc top management does not care for the chat, we have bought our own server for OQL purposes. You can connect by going to /server irc.onlinequidditch.com

Schedule is up!

Hello OQLers,

The Fall 2012 OQL schedule is up. Please take a look to the right under Game Times/Info. You can also find out on Broomrider Phoenix if you go to OQL Info and Game Schedule.

The schedule for our special games will be as follows:
Saturday 12/15 Quidditch World Cup @ 7pm EST
Sunday 12/16 All-Star Game @ 5pm EST

The date and time for the Quidditch World Cup is final. You have been given a 60 day notice to mark that time off on your calenders so make sure to do so!

As we begin to ramp up to the season start, the announcements are getting more interesting! Well, maybe..

First off, congratulations to the winners from our tournaments this weekend! May your brooms be long-lived and not be stolen by jealous fans.

Themes and Custom Colors!

Hey everyone! So, we all know that we had a color scheme contest, but we had said at the time that we were still deciding. And while submissions were open, people had a lot of fun using the color switcher I set up to help test their schemes.

So, after much discussion about the submitted schemes, we decided that we would simply take many of our favorite themes, spanning a wide range of colors and contrast, and allow the users to pick one, as you can see by the themes swatches on the side!

Even better, the custom color switcher has been made permanent and can be accessed from underneath the preset themes! You can enjoy site in the colors you want most! The settings will stick indefinitely if you have cookies enabled, or until you close your session if not.

From top to bottom, left to right, the preset themes are from myself, Laurie, Taylor, Fumei, Grace, and Cody! Thank you for the submissions - they are all fantastic looking!

Various Updates

The color scheme of the website will be available by the end of the weekend. The new official banner is up though courtesy of Fumei.

The next thing you guys can do is submit team names for the upcoming season. The only rules are that they must be Harry Potter themed and that there must be three. Do so by the end of the day 9/23 by emailing Rishi@onlinequidditch.com
